Tennis elbow usually feels like pain on the outside of the elbow, especially when you use your hand and forearm throughout the day.
Common patterns include:
The goal is to calm the irritation down and build tolerance back up so the elbow stops flaring with normal activity.
Tennis elbow is usually an overuse + load tolerance problem. It often builds from repetitive gripping, lifting, typing/mouse work, or workouts that your forearm hasn’t fully adapted to.
The tricky part is that it can feel better with rest—but as soon as you return to normal activity, it flares again because the tissue still hasn’t rebuilt tolerance.
That’s why a plan matters: calm the irritation down, restore normal motion, and gradually build strength and tolerance back up.
Quick note: If you have significant swelling, a sudden injury, numbness/tingling that’s worsening, or weakness that’s progressing, it’s important to get evaluated promptly.
The goal is to reduce irritation, improve how the elbow and wrist are moving, and build a simple plan so your forearm can tolerate normal life again.
Our approach is straightforward:

Not always. Many people can keep training with the right modifications. We’ll guide you on what to reduce temporarily and how to build back without flare-ups.
Will a brace or strap fix it?
It can help temporarily, but long-term improvement usually requires restoring motion and rebuilding strength/tolerance.
How long does it take to improve?
